Joey graduated with a LL.B (Hons) degree from Northumbria University, UK and after completing the Certificate of Legal Practice, she got admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in the year 2016.
She has considerable experience in corporate advisory matters, vetting & drafting of various commercial contracts from diverse industries, as well as corporate compliance & regulations matter. She also develops her portfolios in assisting several Malaysian clients to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange via initial public offerings and various other corporate exercises undertaken by Malaysian public listed companies, such as diversification and private placement. Her fundamental emphasis in her practice is to be able to connect with her clients from various backgrounds and cultures and to be able to explain intricate legal principles in a simple manner to achieve desired outcomes.

- Assisted and crafted a joint venture model for a housing development worth RM 40 million
- Acted for a public listed company for its proposed issuance of up to RM80million redeemable convertible preference shares (RCPS)
- Drafted Celebrity Endorsement Agreement for one of the global smartphone company
- Advised several SMEs on compliance with personal data requirements and privacy issues and drafted terms and condition and privacy policies of use for online websites and mobile applications
- Advised clients on compliance with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws of Malaysia
- Acted as Malaysian counsel to the issuer, on the successful listing of a Malaysian company principally involved in manufacturing of precision parts on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
